Here’s a recent art journal spread of mine –

I made this spread on tea-dyed copy paper pages that I’d included in my art journal. The page started out with remnants from a previous session–I’d run my brayer, with remains of metallic acrylics from the earlier session, over this page a few times to keep the brayer clean during the session.
On this page, I made ghost gel prints using acrylic paints with various stencils. I then pounced acrylics through some stencils as well. I also used acrylics with stencils for some negative prints. Overall, lots of good stencil play here.

When I’d made enough of the background (but really, when is it ever “enough” though? π ) I used a Copic marker to hand-draw blocks and color them, and gel pens to add highlights to the blocks. I also made lots of Copic marker and gel pen marks.
For the quote, I lightly traced out rough letters, and used a white Posca marker and a white oil-based marker to draw and fill up the letters, and a black fineliner to doodle over them. That completes the spread, ta da!
With this spread, I’m joining these challenges –
This is an incredible art work, Anita! You have so many interesting ideas and a passion to bring them to life.

Thank you very much, E.C.! I love colorful spreads, and it’s just soo lovely when a riot of colors doesn’t just combine and turn into mud or a mess. π
