Here’s my latest art journal spread –
I started the spread by pasting torn pre-stamped paper on the background. I added more texture over this by using modeling paste over a stencil. I applied acrylic paints over parts of the stenciled areas, and spritzed water over them to spread the color.
I added more interest to the background by stamping on it using dye inks. I also added dots, dashes, and circles using Copic markers.
I made the focal images on a different piece of paper, using stamps and dye inks. I fussy cut the figures, pasted them over the background, and drew scribbly outlines around them using Copic markers. I then colored them with watercolor pencils and water brush pens.
I stamped the quote using dye inks, then cut out rectangles around the words, and pasted them on the background. I used watercolor pencils and water brush pens to darken the edges, then used a Copic marker for scribbly lines bordering parts of the edge. That completes the spread, ta da!
With this spread, I’m joining the following challenges –
